It describes research on the music teaching through the guitar and establish ways of teaching music according the NCCB. It defines the profile of the visually impaired student and suggests examples of musical activities to be developed with Basic Education students. In this sense, answering the problem question - How to promote the teaching of music through the guitar to typical and atypical visual impairment students in the Basic Education, considering the NCCB guidelines? Its methodology presents the profiles of the qualitative approach and bibliographical research in its procedure. The authors mentioned here deal with national and international documents of general, special and inclusive education; the teaching of music and guitar studies; and visually impaired students. Within the scope of the proposed work, six punctual didactic activities were created to be developed in the classroom with elementary and high school students, according to the NCCB. Finally, it is considered essential to invest in research that solidifies the teaching of music with guitar for actors and related spaces. In addition, specific teacher training in this area should be promoted, with a view to providing more inclusive and equitable music teaching to all basic education students.
